2024 10Liner Game - PAQU

Paqu is a single line variant of Pac-Man for the Mattel Aquarius done in 10 lines of code.

You start the game within the safety zone. While your Paqu is within the chequered area, no baddies can be spawned. However, no power pills will be spawned either! And no points will be accumulated. You need to venture out from the safety zone, and collect as many power pills as you can, whilst not running into any baddies. Baddies will spawn randomly to try and block your path to the power pills. Collecting a power pill will gain you additional points. If the way is clear, then you can move off the screen to the right, and you will reappear on the left. You can banish a baddie by turning away just in time and thus freeing up the play area for collecting more power pills! Your score increases the longer you stay alive, and a bonus is awarded for every power pill collected and for every baddie banished. You control Paqu using < for left and > for right. The game is fast paced, so it will take you a while to master banishing the baddies. How long can you survive? The game is over if you collide with a baddie.
